IDL Animated Maths Tutorials

The IDL Animated Math Tutorials are a new set of online math tutorials that present the main topics in the school curriculum in an easy-to-follow, step-by-step way.

Each tutorial is made up of a series of short animated video clips which explain key concepts and show how they are applied.

The tutorials cover the core skills of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Each tutorial has a worksheet with a quiz at the end which gets marked automatically. The tutorials are designed to be used in the classroom or at home. They are particularly suited to children who struggle with numeracy skills, but can be used by anyone who wants to learn or revise!

These ‘problem solver’ animations are free learning resources which are:

• Designed to support pupils in answering maths problems
• Developed in consultation with educational specialists including Judy Hornigold
• Multi-sensory interactive tutorials
• Simple to use and engaging 

These animations can be used by pupils alongside the IDL Numeracy programme and by teachers as a whole class teaching tool!

We have also created an Animation and Activity Guide containing a range of activities that pupils can do whilst working through the IDL Numeracy programme. These are designed to support lessons and expand on strategies taught.
